DPRK Proves Successful at Asian Cup Women's Boxing Tournament

| Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- DPRK women boxers proved successful at the 2011 Asian Cup Women's Boxing Tournament held in Hainan Island of China from May 6 to 8. DPRK boxers Kim Hye Song and Pak Kyong Ok placed first by beating all rivals in the 54 kg and 64 kg category matches. Kim Myong Sim came second in the 48 kg category event while Yun Kum Ju third in the 57 kg category event. The tournament brought together boxers of 12 countries and region including the DPRK, China, Mongolia and India. |
