Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Valery Sukhinin and staff members of the Russian embassy.

After placing the wreath in the name of the embassy, they observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army.

They also laid a wreath and bouquets at the cemetery of fallen Soviet Army soldiers in Sadong District, Pyongyang, to pay silent tribute to them.

Earlier, staff members of the Russian embassy placed bouquets before the statue and memorial tower of the Soviet Army soldiers and liberation towers in Nampho, Wonsan of Kangwon Province, Haeju of South Hwanghae Province and Sinuiju of North Phyongan Province.
