The recreation ground will cover an area of tens of thousands of square meters. The peculiar ground will have volleyball and tennis courts, swimming and wading pools, Korean wrestling site, fountain site, resting places, catering networks, woodland and walking courses of different shapes.

A ground-breaking ceremony took place on Monday.

Attending it were Ri Man Gon, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Jong Gon, chairman of the North Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, and others.
