Expressing full support for the decision adopted at the conference of leading officials of the international preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, the appeal called upon all the preparatory committees and the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people to widely organize colorful events to significantly commemorate the Day of the Sun, April 15, in 2012, and conduct positive activities for solidarity with the Korean people.

The appeal underscored the need to significantly form delegations to participate in the events to commemorate the birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung to be held in Pyongyang in April 2012 and the ones marking the tenth anniversary of the meeting greeting the sun of the 21st century due to be held in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu.

It also appealed to all the preparatory committees and the bodies for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people to fully support the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country as part of the preparatory work to open the world conference for supporting Korea's reunification scheduled to be held in Pyongyang in April 2012.

It also called for making good preparations for celebrating General Secretary Kim Jong Il's birthday, Feb. 16, 2012 to pay highest tribute to him.
