The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "75 Years under the Banner of the Great National Unity". The article said that President Kim Il Sung advanced the idea of forming the anti-Japanese national united front from the steadfast Juche standpoint that the independence of the country should be achieved by the efforts of the nation, by the concerted efforts of the Koreans in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and wisely led the struggle to materialize it.

Under the energetic leadership of the President, May 5, 1936 saw the creation of the association, the Korean people's first anti-Japanese national united front organization, the article said.

The foundation of the association and its activities became a precious tradition of the great unity of the Korean nation, it said, adding that thanks to this tradition the Korean people could win victories in the work to build a new country, the Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar rehabilitation and construction and socialist construction and dynamically advance national reunification movement.

The President's idea of the great national unity is being successfully carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, it said, pointing out in detail that there is a bright prospect for national reunification under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea also posted on their homepages articles dealing with the historical significance of the creation of the association.
