Present there on invitation was the delegation of the Communist Party of Sweden led by Chairman Anders Karlsson.

Secretary Kim Yong Il, Vice Department Director Ri Yong Chol and other officials of the C.C., the WPK, were on hand.

Kim Yong Il in his speech expressed thanks to the Communist Party of Sweden for extending support and encouragement to the WPK and the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving socialist nation and achieve the reunification of the country.

The WPK values the friendship with the Communist Party of Sweden on the road of independence against imperialism and of socialism will make efforts to develop the relations between the two parties in the future, too, he noted.

Anders Karlsson in his speech said that President Kim Il Sung is a gifted great man, recollecting that he visited the DPRK and had an audience of the President.

He stressed that his party will extend full support and solidarity to the just cause of the WPK.
