298 cases of forest fire occurred across the country on May 7 alone, burning more than 3,300 hectares of forests, the Ministry of Extraordinary Situation of Russia on the same day.

The extinguishment work was going on in afflicted areas.

It is reported that 4,200 cases of forest fire broke out in Russia in spring season of this year.
