Russia Concerned about NATO's Plan to Deploy Missile Interceptors
Moscow, May 9 (KCNA) -- Nikolai Makarov, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, at a recent press conference, expressed deep concern about NATO's plan to deploy missile interceptors.

As regards the plan of NATO to deploy missile interceptors close the Russian border, he charged that its move to deploy the European missile defence system was a breach of the agreement already reached.

He urged NATO to give assurances that the above-said missile shield of Europe would not threaten Russia's nuclear potential.
