An event celebrating the war victory day took place at the square in front of "Eternal Flame" of Belarus on May 9. Then followed a mass demonstration.

Present there was Belorussian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Military parades took place in Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan and ceremonies of laying wreaths before the monuments to fallen fighters of the Soviet Army and meetings were held in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
