Russia to Bolster Armed Forces in Kuril Islands

| Moscow, May 12 (KCNA) -- The Russian Ministry of Defense recently worked out a new plan for bolstering its armed forces in Kuril Islands, said Nikolai Makarov, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, on May 11. According to the plan, the armed forces in the islands will be provided with modern military equipment and infrastructure developed for stationary units. |
