She recalled that Chinese sailors who had been on board a Panama-flagged cargo ship that was kidnapped by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean were freed safely by the joint efforts of the relevant organs and several countries. She expressed thanks to the parties concerned.

She said that the international community is duty-bound to continue to intensify the cooperation against piracy in order to jointly defend the security in the seas.
