Sumiko Shimizu, chairwoman of the Japanese preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and representative of the Japanese Women's Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women, said that the President dedicated his all to socialist construction, the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and the peace and stability of Northeast Asia under the banner of independence.

She underscored the need to positively conduct the activities to commemorate the Day of the Sun in 2012 with splendor.

The progressive figures of Japan have supported the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation, she noted.

An action plan of the preparatory committee for significantly greeting the Day of the Sun in 2012 was made public at the meeting.
