The Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, in its statement on May 10, said that it is of weighty significance to convene a world conference on the Juche idea in Pyongyang in April 2012 on the occasion of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Friends of Russia faithful to the Juche idea and the human cause of independence fully support the decision of the 13th enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the IIJI Board of Directors, the statement said, adding: They deem it very happy to attend the conference and witness at first hand the achievements made by the Korean people in building a great prosperous and powerful nation.

The Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, in its statement on May 7, noted that General Secretary Kim Jong Il has developed and enriched the Juche idea, the Songun idea founded by the President and led the struggle against the U.S. and the cause of Korea's reunification to victory with his Songun politics.

It further said:

We fully support and welcome the decision of the 13th enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the IIJI Board of Directors.

We will conduct on a wider scale the study and dissemination of the Juche idea together with its followers and peace-loving progressives the world over and thus make positive contribution to commemorating the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung as a great auspicious event in the history of humankind.
