Iran Will Not Stop Producing Enriched Uranium

| Tehran, May 14 (KCNA) -- Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Director Fereydoun Abbasi, when interviewed by a news agency recently, said that Iran would not stop producing uranium enriched to a purity level of 20 percent. The AEOI plans to build four to five new reactors, with a capacity of 10 to 20 megawatts, in different provinces of Iran in the next few years, and thus it needs to continue producing the fuel needed for the reactors, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran will not seek anybody's permission to do so, he stated. |
