The Sariwon Jongbang Foodstuff Producers’Cooperative produces foodstuffs with various kinds of vegetables, including pickles, one of the Korean people's traditional dishes.

The products enjoy popularity among local people, particularly travelers.

Jongbangchae was named by President Kim Il Sung in the early 1970s.
