This Olympiad held in Moscow from May 7 to 9 brought together students of more than 10 countries and regions including the DPRK, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey and Moldova.

13 years old Pak was praised by members of the jury and experts for fully meeting the requirements of the given music by unique rendition.

A cup and diploma were awarded to him who finished second.

A professor at Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Russia who is chairman of the jury for the piano contest appreciated the rare rendition displayed by him, adding that this helped him guess the appearance of the children in the DPRK.
