S. Korea: Repression of "Hanchongryon"

| Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- The Uijongbu District Court of south Korea on May 13 gave the verdict of guilty to a former member of the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils, who was prosecuted for violation of the "National Security Law", according to the south Korean Yonhap News. This member was active as a policy maker of the 13th-term "Hanchongryon." The puppet court sentenced the person to one year in jail, charging that an article and a song this member posted on "Hanchongryon" homepage were "enemy-benefiting." |
