The medicines are made of herbs collected in Mt. Oga and other remote mountains in Jagang Province.

The factory has more than ten production processes, including herb tissue culture, vacuum extraction, supercritical abstraction, tablet and liquid medicine manufacture.

The extraction process is based on up-to-date technology to abstract any medicinal ingredients.

When visiting the factory some time ago, General Secretary Kim Jong Il acquainted himself with its technological updating and products and called for boosting the production of Koryo medicines.
