China Calls for Respect for Sovereignty of Developing Countries

| Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Zheng Wantong, addressing a recent meeting of UN, called for respect for the sovereignty of the developing countries. He said that all countries should achieve goals of sustainable development by adopting strategies and steps suited to their countries' specific conditions as they vary in their actual conditions and in phases of development. The international community should respect their sovereignty in achieving the sustainable progress by taking the actual conditions of the developing countries into full consideration, he added. |
