Refusal to Reduce Communication Fee Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Hangyore, a newspaper of south Korea, carried an editorial titled "Improper sophistry describing communication fee as expenses for culture".

Choe Si Jung, chairman of the Broadcasting and News Service Committee, asserted that communication fee is very cheap, calling it part of cultural expenses, the editorial noted, adding:

This assertion is a trick to turn down the growing demand of the people for reduction of the rising communication fee.

The "government" should accept the demand of the people, not letting loose a spate of such outbursts, the editorial urged.
