The county has created more than 1,400 km of windbreak on Paektusamcholli Plain.

It has helped protect land and ensure rich and stable potato harvest every year.

The county planted more than six million trees in more than 1,000 hectares in the last 10 years, increasing or reinforcing the shelter belt.

100 hectare nursery built by the county and those in different farms produce more than a million young trees every year to be used for the creation of shelter belt and woodland.
