The article said that in the DPRK a dynamic drive is now being conducted to realize the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea by the great unity of the whole nation in the idea of "By our nation itself".

It is the fixed faith and will of the Korean people that national reunification will be surely realized if all the compatriots in the north and the south and overseas achieve the great national unity irrespective of ideology, ism, system, religious belief and affiliation, it stressed.

The great unity of the entire nation in Korea has its deep root, the article said, adding:

President Kim Il Sung's idea on great national unity has been successfully carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

It is the unshakable resolution and will of the leader to reunify the country on the strength of great national unity by defending and steadily inheriting the President's idea, exploits, experience and tradition of great national unity.
