Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, released a statement on May 10 in support of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo. Kim Il Sung, eternal president of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, set forth the proposal at the 6th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea in October 1980, the statement noted. This proposal still serves as the most just and realistic reunification proposal, though several decades have passed, as it presupposes co-existence of the systems in the north and the south and does not harm interests of each side, it said, adding: The best way for realizing Korea's reunification at an early date is to found a national unified state by means of federation based on one nation, one state, two systems and two governments. The international community continues to lift up the voices of accusation against the south Korean authorities escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula by pursuing the policy of confrontation with the DPRK. The south Korean authorities should not persist in the confrontation policy but respond to the DPRK-proposed dialogue and adopt a proper policy helpful to Korea's reunification. Korea should be surely reunified according to the DFRK founding proposal advanced by Kim Il Sung. |
