The conservative forces and media are now openly eulogizing Park Chung Hee, who was shot to death by his confidant, after making desperate efforts to put forward Syngman Rhee, the editorial pointed out.

It is clear to everyone that the reason is to pave the way for coming to power again in the elections slated for next year, it said.

The conservative forces are asserting that Park developed the economy and, accordingly, repression and dictatorship over democracy are inevitable for the economic growth, it charged.

In fact, Park's economic policy caused price jump, tightened system of low wage and destruction of the countryside and, consequently, repression and tyranny were enforced to tide over the crisis entailed from this, the editorial said.

It demanded that the conservative forces no longer make a mockery of the people.
