Russia Plans to Equip Its Strategic Rocket Force with New-type Missiles

| Moscow, May 18 (KCNA) -- The commander of the Strategic Rocket Force of Russia at a press conference on May 17 referred to the plan to equip it with new-type missiles. The Strategic Rocket Force will be equipped with fifth generation missiles "PC-24" till 2018, he said, adding that the proportion of those missiles will reach 80 percent. He said that this is not a violation of the spirit of international treaties Russia concluded including the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. The new-type inter-continental ballistic missiles of Russia will cope with any missile defense system, he added. |
