The army and the people of the DPRK have boosted the national defence capability in every way under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, he said, adding that this was one of the keys to the steady victories won by the DPRK, meeting all challenges.

The validity and vitality of the Songun politics have been clearly proved in practice, he noted, and went on:

Songun provides those countries advancing along the road of independence against imperialism with a firm guarantee for protecting national dignity and sovereignty.

He expressed belief that the army and the people of the DPRK would achieve greater successes by upholding his Songun leadership with loyalty.

The WPM will make positive efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the WPK, he declared.
