The editorial recalled that one year has passed since the authorities took the "May 24 measure" of totally suspending exchange between the south and the north right after the "Cheonan" case.

This measure not only brought the inter-Korean relations to a collapse but the businesses that participated in the cooperation undertakings with the north went bankrupt en masse, it said, and went on:

The successes made between the south and the north in the past prove that cooperation and exchange only provide a way out for all.

It accused the authorities of turning their faces away from the road of common prosperity with the north and only heading for ruin.
