The group made this call in a statement issued on May 18 in support of the decision of the 13th enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and the appeal to the Juche idea followers of the world adopted at the Latin American regional seminar on the Juche idea for the struggle for independence against imperialism in Latin America.

The foundation of the Juche idea, the Songun idea by Kim Il Sung enabled the Korean revolution to always emerge victorious and provided the progressive mankind with the powerful ideological and theoretical weapon for national liberation and struggle against imperialism, the statement said.

It stressed that Kim Jong Il is the great leader as he has enriched the Juche idea and reliably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and the nation with the Songun politics based on the idea while wisely guiding the Korean people in the efforts to build a thriving nation.

The statement declared that the group would deeply grasp and zealously learn from the greatness and undying feats of Kim Jong Il and intensify its activities.
