U.S. Unreasonable Proposal Rejected

| Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Kadena Cho Assembly of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan adopted a resolution rejecting the U.S. proposal for merging the U.S. air force base in Futenma with the U.S. base in Kadena. The resolution dismissed such proposal as absolutely unacceptable, noting that it would be little short of polluting ecological environment and bringing more unbearable sufferings to the local inhabitants. It demanded that the Futenma base be transferred to an area outside the prefecture. |
