U.S. Hostile Policy toward DPRK Slammed
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain on May 12 posted on its Internet homepage "One Corea Network" an article titled "Confrontation or Dialogue".

The hostile relations between the DPRK and the U.S. have lasted for more than 60 years and they not only involve the political, military, economic and all other fields but international issues such as the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, gravely threatening regional and world peace, the article said.

In an article subtitled "End of confrontation" homepage noted that the U.S. ignited the Korean war in June 1950 and in the post-war period it committed ceaseless military provocations and staged various war maneuvers every year with huge armed forces involved to stifle the DPRK by force of arms.

The sanctions and blockade of the imperialist allied forces headed by the U.S. reached an extreme phase in the closing years of the last century but the DPRK made a leap forward toward a thriving nation, not collapsing even in the worst adversity, the article noted.

In an article subtitled "Lesson drawn from dialogue" the homepage said that the DPRK has consistently called for dialogue, adding that it has made every possible effort to turn the Korean Peninsula into a nuclear-free peace zone by replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace one and improving the DPRK-U.S. relations.

Had the U.S. opted for dialogue after abandoning the anachronistic confrontation policy, the DPRK-U.S. hostile relations would have been already terminated and the denuclearization of the peninsula would have been realized smoothly, the article stressed.
