Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article dedicated to the 56th anniversary of Chongryon.

The article goes on:

Chongryon is a prestigious organization of overseas Koreans of the DPRK as it was founded under the extraordinary leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and has advanced along the road of victory.

The formation of Chongryon helped the movement of Koreans in Japan develop into a patriotic movement to faithfully serve the country and nation, guided by the Juche idea and remaining unshaken in any storm and stress, while having a clear-cut program and line based on it. It enabled the Koreans in Japan to advance along the road of patriotism for the country and the nation, cherishing the honor and national dignity of being overseas citizens of the DPRK.

Over the past more than five decades Chongryon has performed great exploits for the country and nation true to the Juche-oriented idea of the movement of overseas Koreans of the President and Kim Jong Il and their leadership.

The DPRK and nation are highly proud of having such organization of overseas Koreans as Chongryon.

Chongryon will as ever steadfastly carry forward the tradition of loyalty and that of single-minded unity and patriotism and eternally exalt its honor as a model organization of the Juche-oriented movement of overseas Koreans, concludes the article.
