Greetings to Chairman of AU Committee
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to Jean Ping, chairman of the Committee of the African Union, on the occasion of Day of Africa.

Kim in the message said that since the heads of state and government of Africa set up a continental organization to promote the process for the political and economic integration of the region the dignity and international position of Africa advancing as an integral whole have remarkably risen as the days go by.

The Korean people have always extended full support and solidarity to the African people in their efforts to solve the issues arising in the whole continent by themselves in line with the common requirement and interests, the message noted.

Reiterating the DPRK's invariable will to develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation with the African Union and its member nations on a new higher stage, the message sincerely wished the chairman bigger success in his responsible work for the development of the AU.
