Day of Sun in 2012 to Be Commemorated in Russia and Bangladesh

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The Tynda City Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of the Russian Philosophy Association sent a letter to the DPRK embassy in Moscow on May 19 in support of the decision of the senior officials' meeting of the International Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung and the appeal to the Juche idea followers of the world adopted at the Latin American regional seminar on the Juche idea.

All the members of the group holding Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the great leader in the era of independence will make joint efforts to significantly commemorate the Day of the Sun in 2012, the letter said.

It briefed on the fact that colorful political and cultural events are being briskly organized to significantly commemorate the Day of the Sun in 2012 under the sponsorship of the Preparatory Committee of Far Eastern Region of Russia for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung and the work to publish the newspaper The Banner of Mt. Paektu is making headway.

The Bangladesh National Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung, too, issued a statement on May 20, in which it expressed the will to fully discharge its mission and responsibility in the work to commemorate the Day of the Sun in 2012 with splendor in close touch with organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.
