US Military Bases, Producers of Poisonous Waste

| Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. forces base in Waegwan, Chilgok County, North Kyongsang Province is producing more poisonous waste of various kinds than any other bases of the U.S. 8th Army in south Korea, south Korean CBS reported. This was disclosed in the 1991 report of the U.S. Engineer Corps obtained by a Korean mediaperson. The U.S. forces base in Waegwan is playing a logistic and maintenance role for the U.S. forces in south Korea. That is why this base is throwing more waste oil and other poisonous waste than any other bases, polluting environment. |
