China Gives Importance to Development of Basic Research

| Beijing, May 27 (KCNA) -- Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong called for further development of basic research on Monday when speaking at a forum held China on basic research. Liu, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of China, called for more advanced equipment to improve scientific research, further reform in the system of science and technology, as well as cultivation of more innovative talents. She also stressed the need to push back the frontiers of latest science and technology on major sectors. |
