Withdrawal of US Forces from S. Korea Demanded

Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Jaju Minbo on May 24 carried an article titled "U.S., group of criminals who committed indelible crimes against our nation. U.S. forces, go home." It was disclosed again recently that the U.S. forces committed a germ warfare in the past Korean War, drawing attention at home and abroad, the article said. It is very shocking that the germ warfare waged by the U.S. forces was confirmed by a testimony made by a south Korean inhabitant who served at their unit during the last Korean war. It went on: The U.S. Seventh Armored Division administered medicines to all its soldiers and inoculated them for four days but they suffered from high fever after being injected in Soksa-ri, Phyongchang County, south Korean Kangwon Province in March 1951, he said. When he went to Taehwa, Phyongchang County later, he found countless number of people dead with no wound and a lot of flies on the dead bodies. In the light of his testimonies one could not rule out the possibility of deaths caused by the germ warfare. When an organization related to the UN surveyed areas of the north after being informed of the above-said warfare in those days, it found flies moving on the snow in winter and rats with white lines on their backs rare to be seen on the Korean Peninsula. On this basis, the organization submitted to the U.N. an official survey report that the U.S. forces dropped germ bombs. Foreign experts also testified to the fact that those who served in Japanese Unit 731 were mobilized to help the U.S. in its germ warfare and that it denied the fact but there is no doubt that the U.S. committed the germ warfare in the Korean War. The U.S. should open to the public the truth about the germ warfare and all its documents and should not only apologize for this but make state reparation for it. |
