The Lao newspaper Vientiane Mai said that under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung the Korean people have always lived their own way, resolutely rejecting sycophancy and dogmatism in the independent spirit, and successfully carried out socialist construction, turning their country into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The Pakistani newspaper Baluchistan Times noted that the international community feels envious of the DPRK living its own way at a time when national identity is disappearing in many countries and even sovereignty and dignity are being violated due to "globalization".

The Egyptian newspaper Al-Misaiya noted that the DPRK has made sustained efforts for years to build a self-supporting economy, not subject to others, an economy which serves its people and develops thanks to the efforts of its people in reliance upon its resources and lay a solid foundation for an independent national economy.

The Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism in its bulletin said that the Korean people are striving hard to achieve the prosperity of the country and the nation with the transparent faith and will that man is the master of his own destiny and is capable of hewing out his own destiny.
