The Ministry of Urban Management has taken measures to transplant turf cultivated in humus-cakes in streets, parks and pleasure parks.

The ministry organized technical short courses several times to give priority to production of humus-cakes and seed supply and disseminate the cultivation method.

It has also made researches for improving the cultivation method suitable for the country with the help of scientists and technicians and built turf cultivation bases in different parts of the country to double the production capacity.

The Pyongyang Greening Office is one of those which have introduced the method of soilless turf cultivation.
