This was to support the decision of the senior officials' meeting of the International Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung and the decision of the 13th enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of the Juche Idea.

The joint meeting discussed the action program including the matters of enhancing the role of each organization, widely introducing the feats of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il through media and holding diverse political and cultural events on the occasion of the Day of the Sun in 2012.
