Korean People's Struggle Supported in Ecuador

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The Ecuadorian National Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung made public a statement on May 29 in support of the decision of the senior officials' meeting of the International Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung.

The statement said that the international solidarity meeting commemorating the centenary of Kim Il Sung's Korea to be held in Pyongyang on the Day of the Sun in 2012 would mark an event of weighty significance.

Expressing the will to thoroughly implement the above-said decision, the statement extended solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts for the cause of independence against imperialism and socialist construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
