Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement on May 31 called for turning out in a struggle to shatter the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration. The joint declaration is one for national independence, peace and reunification and a landmark for reunification, the statement said. But the Lee Myung Bak regime is persisting in the treacherous anti-reunification acts while staging madcap war maneuvers for aggression against the DPRK despite the aspiration of the nation, it charged. The regime disallowed the delegation of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration to participate in the contact among the north, south and overseas sides for discussing the issue of the event common to the nation marking the 11th anniversary of the joint declaration, it said, adding that this revealed once again the true colors of the regime of traitors. It branded the Lee "government" as a group of traitors who brought the inter-Korean relations to the lowest ebb and is getting hell-bent on the confrontation with the DPRK. All the fellow countrymen will certainly make the event marking the 11th anniversary of the joint declaration successful, lay bare the true colors of the Lee regime and show that the crisis and ruin of the group of traitors are inevitable in the development of history, it declared. A spokesman for the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. and the Japanese Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration issued statements on the same day denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for such anti-reunification action as blocking the visit to the northern half of Korea by a delegation of the South Side Committee. |
