Iran Ready to Beat back US Attack--Iranian Defence Minister

Teheran, June 5 (KCNA) -- The Iranian army is fully ready to beat back any attack by the U.S., the minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran said this at a press conference on June 1.

The U.S. which suffered setbacks in Iraq and Afghanistan dares not attack Iran, the minister noted, adding:

The U.S. has often used sanctions as a lever for provoking sovereign states. This, however, betrays its vulnerability and baseness.
