New modern buildings and library will be constructed and the existing buildings, gymnasium and house of culture renovated.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kang Nung Su, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Ryang Man Gil, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, officers and men of the Korean People's Army, officials concerned and teaching staff and students of the university.

Kim Yong Jin, chairman of the Education Commission, made a report there which was followed by speeches.
