Burial of Defoliant by US Forces Is Insult to Korean Nation--Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The burial of defoliant by the GIs in south Korea is a revelation of the United States' arrogance and extreme ethnocentrism and an intolerable insult to the Korean nation.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a bylined commentary.

The U.S. troops in south Korea sprayed large amounts of defoliant in the Demilitarized Zone along the Military Demarcation Line from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. This is the hideous crime that can be committed by barbarians engrossed in national chauvinism and misanthropy, the paper says, adding:

It is needless to say that the U.S. imperialists leave no stone unturned to attain their criminal aims.

It has been confirmed again through the burial of defoliant that the situation can never be eased nor environmental pollution prevented in the Korean Peninsula as long as the U.S. imperialist aggression forces, the root cause of war, are stationed in south Korea.

Clean environment can be provided through disposal of filth. The vile U.S. forces should be driven out of south Korea as they regard it as nothing but a dumping ground and a place for toxic materials disposal and take no account of the safety of the Korean nation.

Only then, is it possible to prevent environment pollution and outbreak of war on the peninsula and ensure the safety of the Korean nation.
