Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- The shellwork "Native Home in Mt. Paektu Secret Camp" is a gift presented to General Secretary Kim Jong Il by a Tandong travel company of China to congratulate him on his birthday (February 16). Officials of the company prepared the gift with reverence for the DPRK leader before visiting Pyongyang in February Juche 86 (1997). Seen in the upper part of the craftwork is Kim Jong Il's native home nestling at the foot of Jong Il Peak against the background of a thick forest and blue sky and in the lower part are 55 Kimjongilia blossoms symbolic of his birth anniversary. Asking a Korean official to convey the gift to Kim Jong Il, the company's manager said, "We wish the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il a good health. We also hope that socialist construction will go well in Korea under his leadership." |
