The June 2 statement released by the Association urged the south Korean authorities to respect the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration and thoroughly implement them.

It noted that the association would introduce the DPRK's reasonable proposals for peace and conduct positive solidarity activities to urge the U.S. to replace the armistice agreement by a peace agreement.
