Officials of Trade Unions Start Study Tour of Mt. Paektu Area

| Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of trade unions started the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of study tour of the said revolutionary battle sites. A meeting to start the tour took place in the plaza of the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo Memorial Tower in Hyesan City on June 9. The participants laid floral baskets and flowers before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the memorial tower and paid tribute to him. A report and speeches were made at the meeting. The reporter and speakers said that they would deeply grasp the revolutionary history and undying feats of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and earnestly learn from the spirit of devotedly defending the leader and the indomitable fighting spirit displayed by the revolutionary forerunners. That day they visited the Museum of President Kim Il Sung's Revolutionary Activities in Ryanggang Province. |
