Present there were members of the Overseas Side Committee, the European Regional Committee and the Canada Regional Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and Koreans in Germany, France, Denmark and other European countries.

Introduced at the festival were solidarity messages from the Overseas Side Committee and different regional committees for implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. and compatriots organizations in other parts of the world.

Then followed a lecture.

Lecturers said that the inter-Korean relations were brought to collapse and the danger of a war is increasing on the Korean Peninsula due to the Lee Myung Bak group.

They stressed the need to clear the dark clouds of a war at an early date and implement the joint declaration and thus achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

A resolution was adopted at the festival.

It underscored the need for all the overseas Koreans to intensify the struggle to implement the joint declaration under the banner of "By our nation itself".

An art performance was given to mark the anniversary.
