A ceremony for donating the flowers took place at the international contest wing of the 2011 World Horticultural Expo in Xi'an on June 6.

At the ceremony the chairman of the branch handed the flowers to the head of the delegation running the DPRK garden at the expo.

The chairman said:

The peoples of China and the DPRK have traditional friendship and fraternal feelings with each other.

We named the best flowers of China roses displayed at the expo "Beijing-Pyongyang" and "Sino-DPRK Friendship" to make these beautiful flowers symbolize the steady development of friendship between the two peoples.

The birth of these flowers symbolic of the DPRK-China friendship with General Secretary Kim Jong Il's visit to China as a momentum is a great joy and pride of the two peoples and floriculturists.
