Kim Jong Il Receives CPC Delegation

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Monday received the delegation of the Communist Party of China headed by Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the C.C., the CPC who is head of its Organization Department, on a visit to the DPRK. Present there were Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, Ri Yong Ho, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Kim Ki Nam and Choe Thae Bok, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Kang Sok Ju, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and vice-premier of the Cabinet, Jang Song Thaek, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and vice-chairman of the NDC, and Kim Yong Il and Kim Yang Gon, alternate members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK. Li Yuanchao conveyed warm greetings of Hu Jintao to Kim Jong Il and presented gifts to Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Il's recent unofficial visit to China was of particularly important significance in developing the unity and traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries onto a higher stage, Li said, noting that the Chinese party, government and people are highly estimating the contributions made by Kim Jong Il to the development of the Sino-DPRK friendship. It is the steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to firmly carry forward the baton of the traditional and particular Sino-DPRK friendship associated with the noble soul of the revolutionaries of the elder generations of the two countries, sincerely implement the wide-ranging agreements made between the top leaders of the two countries during his recent visit to China to carve out a beautiful future of the two countries, Li stressed. Kim Jong Il expressed the will of the WPK and the DPRK government to further boost the friendly and cooperative relations in conformity with the noble intention of the leaders of the elder generations of the two countries and the desire of the two peoples. Both sides of the DPRK and China should learn from each other and swap experience in many aspects, he said, estimating the successful dialogue held between the delegations of the WPK and the CPC in Pyongyang this time. He hosted a luncheon for the guests. Present there were head of the delegation Li Yuanchao, Wang Jiarui, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, Sun Zhengcai, secretary of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPC, Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, Pan Ligang, director of a bureau of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Li Xi, head of the Organization Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC, Shi Taifeng, head of the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC, Yang Yanyi, assistant to the head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, and other suite members. Also present there were Kim Jong Un, Ri Yong Ho, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Kang Sok Ju, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Yong Il, Kim Yang Gon and officials concerned. The luncheon proceeded in an amicable atmosphere. |
